Watch Out! is a soundwalk and a listening performance. During this walk the public gets a lightweight backpack that ’teases’ the way they are listening.
The backpack contains a speaker with a sound composition, which will mingle with real sounds. The visitor becomes a listener, a performer and a composer and while carrying the sound composition the listener adds fiction to reality.
This project was commissioned by aifoon and KAAP for the dance festival Expeditie Dansand! (2014). Canvas national television made the reportage for the program Atelier De Stad Oostende.
